Taiwan's Hsu wins women's 53kg weightlifting gold

Taiwan's Hsu Shu-ching sensationally won gold in the women's 53kg weightlifting competition at the Rio Olympics on Sunday after Chinese favourite Li Yajun failed to register a clean and jerk.

Hsu lifted 100kg in the snatch and 112kg in the clean and jerk for a total of 212kg. Hidilyn Diaz of the Philippines grabbed silver while South Korea's Yoon Jin-Hee took bronze.
