Ruben Vardanyan, who served as Nagorno-Karabakh’s de facto prime minister from 2022 to 2023 and was subsequently arrested following Azerbaijan’s seizure of the region in a swift military operation last September, is currently on a hunger strike in a Baku prison, according to his family.
