The airport's press service shared a small but intriguing list.
In 2024, passengers tried to transport:

According to the Astana Airport press service, all these items were confiscated. They also emphasized that travelers should avoid carrying brass knuckles and telescopic batons (compact, collapsible self-defense tools that extend into full batons). These items will be confiscated, and passengers transporting them may be removed from flights and fined.
The press service noted that on November 2, 2024, during a domestic flight at Astana Airport, a liquid containing a cobra was discovered and confiscated. The item lacked the required technical documentation and certification.
