President Tokayev participated in narrow-format EAEU meeting
Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev attended a narrow-format meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, according to the Akorda press service.
The summit brought together Russian President Vladimir Putin, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan (via videoconference), Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, and Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission Board Bakytzhan Sagintayev.
"The event focused on key tasks and priority areas for further cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union. Summit participants exchanged views on pressing issues and specific practical aspects of EAEU activities," the statement read.
Earlier, Akorda released a video of the joint photo session featuring the heads of state participating in the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in St. Petersburg.
President Tokayev attended an informal meeting of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) heads of state. The summit focused on priority areas and prospects for further mutually beneficial cooperation within the CIS.
