Are there medications for metapneumovirus in Kazakhstan

Tengrinews.kz - Deputy Minister of Healthcare Yerzhan Nurlybayev responded to the question of whether Kazakhstan has medications for metapneumovirus.
As the deputy minister explained, there is no pathogenetic treatment for metapneumovirus.

"In other words, there is no specific medication that directly targets this virus. Treatment is symptomatic: antipyretics and immunomodulators (to strengthen the immune system) are used," the deputy minister stated during a CCS briefing.

According to Nurlybayev, Kazakhstan has a sufficient supply of such medications.

"Without a doubt, there are enough medications in Kazakhstan. These are specifically for the treatment of acute respiratory viral infections, which include metapneumovirus," he assured.

Recall: An outbreak of human metapneumovirus was recorded in China. According to the Chinese Administration for Disease Control and Prevention, this virus has become the second most common after influenza, with both cases showing an increase in the number of cases compared to the previous week.
The Ministry of Healthcare commented on media reports about the spread of metapneumovirus (HMPV) worldwide. Later, the head of the National Center of Public Health Care, Ayzhan Esmagambetova, discussed whether Kazakhstan plans to impose quarantine due to the spread of metapneumovirus.
