Tokayev set tasks for defense minister
Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Defense Minister Ruslan Zhaksylykov.
As Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan, Tokayev heard a report on the defense ministry’s performance in 2024.
The President was briefed on the state of combat readiness and new approaches to troop training.
Ruslan Zhaksylykov reported on the implementation of the state defense order, social and ideological work, and the development of military infrastructure.
"The Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, assigned the minister specific tasks to enhance the army's combat potential, further digitalize management processes, develop special operations forces, and strengthen social and ideological efforts," the statement said.
