Schoolchildren were urgently evacuated from schools in Pavlodar
Due to a message from an unknown caller, children were evacuated from seven schools. According to the regional education department, the first bomb threat call was received at 10:45 AM.
“The message came from the director of School No. 39. An unidentified person called the school, stating that the building was completely mined and giving 20 minutes to evacuate the children. Following protocol, the incident was immediately reported to 102. Law enforcement officers arrived at the school and began evacuating the students. Later, calls were received at Shamkenov Lyceum and Schools No. 6, 29, 17, and 18, all of which were instructed to evacuate the children,” the regional education department reported.

To avoid keeping students out in the cold, lessons were switched to a remote format.
"All educational institutions followed the approved protocol—upon receiving the calls, they immediately reported them to 102. The issue is under the control of the Pavlodar Regional Education Department," the agency stated.
Later, police received another report about an allegedly mined school. Law enforcement confirmed the information regarding the alarming calls received by the schools.
"A criminal case has been initiated for deliberately false reports of explosive devices in several schools in the city. Emergency services arrived at the scene, and specialists are inspecting the premises. Other emergency services have also been involved in these efforts.
Police officers are conducting measures to identify the person responsible for this incident," the press service of the Pavlodar Regional Police Department reported.
