Kazakh airlines was advised to connect to the Internet on board airplanes
Tengrinews.kz - The Ministry of Digital Development recommended that Kazakh airlines introduce the Internet on board aircraft.
During a government meeting on the digitalization of the aviation sector, Dmitry Mun, Vice Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry, spoke about international experience in the development of aviation. He said that in Europe, they are developing a fully automatic aircraft that can take off and land independently, without the participation of a pilot, relying only on artificial intelligence and cameras. In China, testing the introduction of intercity air taxis, which will reduce travel time from several hours to 40-60 minutes. In the United States, virtual reality is actively used to train pilots. With the help of a VR headset, pilots can train in a realistic cockpit.
"The Ministry recommends that Kazakhstani airlines consider the possibility of introducing the Internet on board. Also (recommends that government agencies - ed.) create comprehensive legislation regulating air taxi flights, including safety standards, pilot licensing and isolation in the event of an accident," the Vice Minister of Digitalization and Aviation said.
