Tengrinews.kz - An oil well caught fire in western Kazakhstan.
According to JSC "Embamunaigas," the incident occurred on March 6 at well 437 of the Western Prorva field, operated by OGPD "Zhylyoimunaygas."
"During perforation, while lowering the tubing string, a gas influx occurred, leading to the ejection of the tubing," the statement said.
There were no casualties or injuries. The EMG emergency response headquarters took immediate measures: the area around the well has been cordoned off, and restoration work is underway.
Specialized response teams from VASS LLP "Ak Beren," LLP "Semser - Ort Sondіrushi," and the mobile security unit of LLP "SOP Atyrau" are involved at the site.
