Dozens of flights will be rescheduled at Astana Airport

Tengrinews.kz — In the second half of April, the flight schedule at Astana Airport will change. Due to scheduled runway repairs, some daytime flights will be moved to different times.
The airport’s press service reminded passengers that from April 15 to May 31, 2026, scheduled repair work will be carried out at the airport. The work concerns the runway, which will be closed daily during daytime hours.
According to the airport, the work will take place daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. During this period, the runway will be temporarily unavailable for arrivals and departures.

“In this regard, all flights scheduled during the specified time period have been moved in advance to earlier or later hours,” the press service explained.

The airport recommended taking possible changes into account and checking the updated departure time in advance on the airport’s official website or with your airline.
To avoid queues at check-in and security screening, passengers are advised to arrive at the airport in advance:

at least 2 hours before domestic flights;
at least 3 hours before international flights.

The press service emphasized that the terminal and all passenger service areas will continue operating as usual.
As the airport clarified, the work is being carried out to maintain flight safety and upgrade infrastructure. The repairs will affect not only the runway surface but also elements of the airfield system, including the lighting equipment.
