Tokayev to visit Turkey at Erdogan’s invitation

Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will pay a working visit to Turkey on April 17 at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, according to the Akorda press service.

During the visit, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is expected to take part in the opening of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum and speak at a panel session. A number of bilateral meetings are also planned.

The forum, held annually in Antalya, is a high-level international platform bringing together political leaders, diplomats, experts, business representatives, media and civil society.

Earlier, on April 15, Tokayev met with Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz. He expressed gratitude for the hospitality and conveyed warm wishes from Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

According to Yilmaz, Erdogan attaches particular importance to his upcoming visit to Kazakhstan and participation in the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Turkestan.
