Kazhydromet warned residents of Aktobe and Atyrau

Tengrinews.kz — Kazhydromet has published a warning for residents of Aktobe and Atyrau on its official website.
The warning concerns the air quality forecast for Monday.

“On August 24, unfavorable meteorological conditions are expected in Aktobe and at night in Atyrau,” the statement said.

Unfavorable meteorological conditions associated with air pollution are a combination of short-term weather factors — including calm conditions, light winds, fog and temperature inversions — that contribute to the accumulation of harmful pollutants in the near-surface layer of the atmosphere.
According to forecasters, Aktobe will see mostly clear skies and dry weather. Fog is possible at night and in the morning. Northerly winds will shift to southeasterly, reaching 1–6 metres per second. Temperatures will range from +11°C to +13°C at night and from +27°C to +29°C during the day.
Atyrau will also see mostly clear and dry weather. Southeasterly winds will reach 2–7 metres per second at night and 6–11 metres per second during the day. Temperatures will range from +22°C to +24°C at night, while intense heat of +35°C to +37°C is expected during the day.
