“License from Minister Takiyev” – Ministry of Finance warned Kazakhstanis

Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Finance has denied reports that the head of the agency, Madi Takiyev, allegedly issued a “license to carry out investment activities.” The ministry said such permits do not fall within its authority.
The ministry said information circulating on social media about an investment activity license allegedly issued by the Minister of Finance is not true.

“The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan does not license brokerage, dealer, investment or other professional activities in the financial market,” the statement said.

The Ministry of Finance clarified that licensing, registration and supervision of investment companies, brokers and other professional participants in the financial market are carried out by an authorized state body in accordance with Kazakhstan’s legislation.
Any organization offering financial services must undergo the registration procedure established by law and obtain the relevant permit.
In this regard, the Ministry of Finance recommended that citizens remain vigilant and verify the legitimacy of financial organizations only through official state registers.
