The world's largest rhino farm looks like a vast fortress and is guarded by a private army.

At night a helicopter fitted with an infrared camera circles over the 8,000 hectare (nearly 20,000 acre) electric-fenced ranch in South Africa, and by day armed men in military fatigues are on patrol.

Their sole mission: to protect 1,200 rhinos from poachers, who killed 1,175 of the horned beasts across the country last year.

Splinter groups from Nigeria’s main opposition Peoples Democratic Party and the All Progressive Grand Alliance are moving to form a new political faction called the Peoples Mega Party. The new group held its first meeting in the capital, Abuja, Tuesday and unanimously elected Perry Opara as its interim chairman. Opara is a longtime ally of former President Goodluck Jonathan, according to local media reports.

According to the US Postal Service, the price of a US-bound first class stamp will decrease 2 cents — to 47 from 49 cents — starting April 1o.

Stamp prices last declined in 1919 when the price of a first class stamp fell to 2 cents from 3 cents.
