Deutsche Bank slashed its bonus pool.

The firm announced in its 2015 annual report that the overall bonus pool was cut by 17%, totaling €2.4 billion ($2.7 billion) for 2015.

The bonus pool in the investment bank, known as the Corporate Banking & Securities division, was cut by 20%.

Deutsche Bank also confirmed that bonuses for the supervisory board were reduced to zero.

Deutsche Bank reported a $7.4 billion loss for 2015.

Stocks are shooting higher on Friday morning. 

In moring trading, the three major indexes were up more than 1%. The Dow gained up to 200 points, the S&P 500 was up 24 points, and the Nasdaq was up 62 points.

Stocks could now clinch a fourth straight week of gains. 

Stocks went nowhere Thursday in a whipsawing session  for global markets after the European Central Bank's interest-rate decision. The bank announced a cut to its deposit and benchmark rates, sending the euro lower and stocks higher. Читать дальше...

U.S. stocks open higher as oil rallies

U.S. stocks opened higher Friday as the International Energy Agency declared a bottom in oil prices, sending crude futures higher and lifting sentiment. Investors were continuing to asses the effect on U.S. equities of the European Central Bank's stimulus measures announced Thursday. The S&P 500 opened 12 points, or 0.6%, higher at 2,002. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 110 points, or 0.6%, to 17,101. Meanwhile, the Nasdaq Composite began the day up 45 points, or 1% at 4,706.
