The U.S. Navy is gliding into the future. After a long process, the Navy is ready to introduce its most technologically advanced warship ever, the USS Zumwalt, the Chicago Tribune reported Sunday. The Zumwalt, designated DDG-1000, is the largest destroyer ever created for the Navy, and it represents the first new kind of ship built at Bath Iron Works in Maine since 1989. The shipyard is expected to deliver the ship to the Navy this week.

Supermarkets are usually quick off the mark when it comes to telling us they are cutting the price of petrol.
But in recent months the noise from the forecourts has been somewhat lacking. This is because oil prices have been steadily rising and on Monday the price of a barrel of the black stuff hit a six-month high at nearly $50 a barrel.
