Technical issue cripples Swedish air traffic at Stockholm

STOCKHOLM (AP) — Swedish officials say "a communications problem" is affecting air traffic control operations in northern and central Sweden, meaning planes cannot take off from three major airports, including two in the Swedish capital of Stockholm. A spokeswoman for Sweden's Civil Aviation Administration Asa Ohman says no flights have been taking off from Stockholm's Arlanda and Bromma airports or from Landvetter airport in Sweden's second largest city, Goteborg, since 12 p.m. (1000 GMT).
