U.S. lawmakers have found a compromise to address Puerto Rico’s debt crisis with legislation that includes a workable restructuring process and other provisions, U.S. House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi said in a statement Thursday. Pelosi said she hopes lawmakers will act quickly to move the bill addressing the territory’s financial crisis through an oversight committee and onto the chamber’s floor for a vote.

Roger Federer announces he will miss the French Open

Roger Federer announced on Thursday that he will not play in this year's French Open, which begins this weekend. The news marks the first time since 1999 that the former world no. 1 and 17-time Grand Slam winner has missed a Grand Slam singles draw.
