Witch, child-lifter rumours claim 4 lives in lower Assam

At least four persons were reportedly killed in mob attacks and several sustained injuries over the last week in lower Assam districts after they were accused of being 'child lifters' or 'witch souls'. In the wake of such incidents, Assam Police has issued an alert to contain the spread of such incendiary rumours.
