A month before her 26th birthday, Nina Ragusa landed in Bangkok, Thailand.
She had been living in Tampa, Florida, preparing and saving for open-ended travel for the past two years. During the day, she worked as a foreclosure law firm, and a few nights a week, she moonlighted at bars and promotional events.

Lab rats suffer from laziness after being administered marijuana, a new study has found. According to a report by University of British Columbia researchers published in the Journal of Psychiatry and Neuroscience, after being given THC – the main psychoactive ingredient in marijuana – rodents were less likely to try cognitively demanding activities.

The more active the gene, called PDSS2, the less coffee people drank.
