Advocates rebel against chief justices for designating outsiders as 'seniors'

Advocates of smaller high courts, especially those in north-eastern states, are agitated over alleged indiscriminate exercise of discretionary powers by the chief justices in designating ‘outsiders’ as ‘senior advocates’, a coveted tag that allows lawyers to jack up their legal fees.
