Budget 2016: Most taxpayers want lower taxes

Most respondents to an online survey wanted the basic exemption and Sec 80C limit raised. More than half the 829 respondents to an online survey conducted last fortnight wanted the basic exemption limit to be raised to `3 lakh. Another 43% wanted the limit to be linked to inflation and automatically raised every year.
