Does Army need honeymoon hiatus before critics pile on?

Voters generally give a freshly elected government a honeymoon period – a kind of hiatus from harsh criticism as the men and women in power are allowed to find their feet. Should the country give the same honeymoon hiatus to the armed forces during a sensitive operation like the bringing down of terrorists who attacked Pathankot airbase?
