I Will Continue To Be An APC Member Until … – Shehu Sani
Senator Shehu Sani has revealed that he would continue to be a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as long as President Muhammadu Buhari remains a member of the party.
PM News reports that the senator representing Kaduna central said this on Sunday, January 24 during the distribution of 100,000 transistor radio sets in seven local government areas under his senatorial district.

The senator was suspended for 11 months by the APC, Kaduna chapter and although Inuwa Abdulkadir, the national vice chairman (north-west) of the party, declared the suspension invalid, the state still insisted his suspension stands.
“The 11-month suspension slammed on Shehu Sani by the Kaduna State APC stands. Alhaji Inuwa Abdulkadir does not have the power to lift the suspension, and was acting on his own without any authorization by the national leadership of the party.
“What happened on Monday in Kaduna between Abdulkadir and the so-called APC chieftains was an abuse of his office in promoting the narrow agenda of people who have never been interested in the progress and success of the APC.
“Can a Senator in Inuwa Abdulkadir’s Sokoto state abuse and denigrate party leadership without being disciplined? Take this from us, the national leadership of the APC, President Buhari and his vice president, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and other leaders of the APC are aware of Shehu Sani’s anti-party activities and his involvement in plots to undermine the APC governments at the federal and state levels.”

Sani insisted he was still a member of the ruling party as long as President Buhari is still in the APC, “because Buhari is APC.”
He said the national party had invalidated his suspension and advised both parties to comply.
“I have instructed all my supporters and followers to abide by this, but unfortunately, some people are capitalizing on the crisis for their own monetary gains.
“I am saying it in clear terms that as far as I am concerned we would abide by what the national body says.”
He said as chairman, Senate committee on foreign and domestic debt and also vice chairman, Senate committee on foreign affairs, he would continue to push for the return of Nigerian loots stashed in foreign countries and encourage the fight against corruption.
