Kogi: You Need To Read What APC Said About Faleke’s Replacement
The national leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has backed the replacement of Abiodun James Faleke as the deputy governor-elect of Kogi state.

Senator Lawal Shuiabu, the APC deputy national chairman, North, who spoke to New Telegraph said that the governor-elect Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has the right to choose who to work with.
Shuiabu said this in response to the allegation that the governor-elect was looking for the replacement of the deputy governor-elect, for his swearing in slated for Wednesday, January 27.
Faleke had earlier refused the position of deputy governorship candidate of APC since the death of Prince Abubakar Audu, the governorship candidate of the party on November 23, 2015.

With the inauguration drawing close, there were reports that the Kogi State APC governor elect, is shopping for the replacement of the deputy governor-elect for the swearing-in, but the APC National Legal Adviser, Dr. Muiz Banire, said: “The governor contested with a Deputy. Secondly, no law says that a Governor cannot be sworn in, in the absence of a Deputy. Hence, the requirement of the law for valid nomination has been met.”
In an other development, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate who contested the House of Representatives election for Ikeja federal constituency 1, Lagos state, Olakunle Okunola, has demanded the immediate sack of James Faleke from the National Assembly over alleged “double representative.”
Okunola is challenging the declaration of the court that the nomination of James Abiodun Faleke, by APC, as its candidate for the House of Representatives election of March 28, 2015, representing the Ikeja Federal Constituency 1 of Lagos State.
