Tata Power calls off deal to buy power unit in Maharashtra

More than a year after Tata Power announced a deal with the Mhaiskar family, promoter of IRB Group, to acquire the 540MW thermal power project in Maharashtra for a reported Rs 3,000 crore, the city-based company now says that the talks have broken down.
