Official: Sliding trucks, snow halted I-75 during storm

(AP) — State officials say heavy snowfall along a hilly section of Interstate 75 in southeastern Kentucky that semitrailers struggled to climb caused an hourslong stoppage that kept many motorists stuck into the night.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokeswoman Amber Hale says the "chain reaction" of events kept some parts of the highway blocked for about 20 hours.
