Cops on Red Road armed with assault rifles

An IB alert that several government vehicles, stolen in the past four weeks, can be used for terror attack on the Republic Day Parade has prompted the police arrange for extra security cover in and around Red Road and the adjoining areas. New bunkers have been put up and sniffer dogs have also been deployed to foil possible 'lone wolf' attacks. Bidhannagar police and CISF have also worked on a five-ring security at the airport.
