New mobile land claims bus
A mobile land claims lodgement bus is scheduled to be launched in Ulundi.
|||Durban - A mobile land claims lodgement bus, to receive land claims in KwaZulu-Natal, was scheduled to be launched in Ulundi on Monday.
The bus will give people who have been dispossessed of their land an opportunity to lodge their land claims near where they live, particularly in the Zululand, Amajuba, uThukela and Umzinyathi districts.
The bus has the technology to process applications from claimants, which will make the process of lodging a claim easier and quicker.
Monday’s launch, by the MEC for Agriculture and Rural Development, Cyril Xaba, and the office of the Regional Land Claims Commissioner, was intended to raise public awareness around the mobile unit’s arrival and its schedule.
The bus will operate until April.
