Officials: Plan ahead to avoid snowy rush hour gridlock

WASHINGTON (AP) — Transportation officials are warning residents of the mid-Atlantic region to think ahead to avoid traffic jams during a snowy evening commute.

Maryland State Highway Administration spokesman David Buck says crews were out pretreating roads on Sunday ahead of the storm that is set to arrive late Monday.
