Eye on UP polls, Amit Shah flaunts Modi’s Hindu nationalist credentials

Setting the tone and tenor for BJP’s ‘Mission UP 2017’, party’s national president, Amit Shah, on Monday played the Hindutava card by portraying Narendra Modi as a true Hindu nationalist - the first prime minister elect to perform ‘arti’ on the ghats of holy Kashi Vishwanath and whose idea of governance was not only limited to material (bhautik) development of the country but also spiritual (adhyatmik).
