Why driving in India isn't going to get easier
Till 2005, the UK had more cars than India on its roads. Nine years later, India had cruised past the UK with almost one lakh cars more. In the last 10 years, annual car sales in India have doubled — in China, sales grew five times during the same period. Since the number of cars will only grow, better traffic management, better roads and better public transport are the only ways to make commuting less painful.
