Samsung's new Galaxy phone could have amazing battery life
Samsung's next phone, the Galaxy S7, will have a 48-hour battery life according to tweets from a Russian tech blogger Eldar Murtazin, translated by the International Business Times.
Murtazin, who has a decent record with gadget rumors, validates his claim with a screenshot showing the alleged Galaxy S7's battery life lasting over 48 hours. However, there's no indication in the screenshot that confirms the device Murtazin is using is actually the Galaxy S7. We have to take his word for it.

Reviewdao.vnOne reason why the S7 could last 48 hours on a single charge is the very likely claim that it'll run Android 6.0, the latest version of Android.
Android 6.0 has a feature called Doze, which puts Android phones into a deep sleep that dramatically reduces the amount of power it sucks from its battery when you're not using the phone.
The doze feature only works when the phone is completely idle and not touched for long periods of time, so it could have a huge impact on preserving power overnight or when it's sitting unused in your bag or pocket.
The S7 is also said to run on Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 820 chip, which Qualcomm claims is 30% more power efficient than the previous 810 model.
A combination of the Android Doze feature, a more efficient chip, and perhaps some wizardry in Samsung's software could all help in giving the S7 a huge battery life.
