On Sunday morning, Chris Christie was standing in the lunchroom of a middle school in Hampton, New Hampshire, offering advice to a teen-ager. “You know in school,” Christie said, “there were some kids who were bullies, and they went and they were taking friends of yours’ lunch money? Every day that they could take that lunch money, they’re going to take it. But the first time either you or your friend punched them back, they stopped taking your lunch money.”
