Senate polls: ABVP rejects GU formula

Gujarat University's plan to allot equal seats to student unions in the senate to avoid elections has hit a roadblock. With the Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) rejecting the new formula for allottment of seats on mutually agreed terms, the university authorities will now have to hold elections for student seats in the senate.
