Ex-Super Eagles captain set for testimonial in May

Former captain of the Super Eagles, Joseph Yobo will be honoured by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in a testimonial match.

The defender retired from international football in after Nigeria lost to France in the Round of 16 in the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Yobo was capped 100 times and represented the Super Eagles at three FIFA World Cups and six Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.
According to ace journalist Colin Udoh, the 35 year old’s testimonial would be played in May 2016 in Rivers state.
The date was confirmed by Boma Iyaye, the state commissioner for sports.
