It can be confusing all right, but you don’t need to worry anymore as we’ve looked at the biggest bundles for you.
To keep yourself ahead of the game, it’s best to have a monthly plan with a solid amount of data, then you’ll never need to worry about your internet running out.
To help you out, we looked at the four biggest providers, and examined their best deals for monthly data use.
Airtel
Airtel offers two large data packages, one for Android users and one for Blackberry devices.
Their Blackberry deal is very competitive and comes with 3gb of internet for N1000 a month, but for N500 extra you can get an unlimited service with no download restrictions.
Android users can choose from 1gb, 2gb and a 4.5gb packages, which cost N1000, N2000 and N3500 respectively, giving you all the data you need to keep up to speed with the world.
Gloword
Gloworld has a bewildering array of tariffs, up to a platinum package that includes 21gb for thirty days, priced at N18000!
For the average consumer out there though, Gloword still has you covered. The Always Macro plan, with 6gb for N3000, is a very competitive rate which should cover all your needs.
If you want to go for a budget option, then you should go for My Phone which costs N2000 for 3gb. Less data, but a good deal considering the price.

MTN
MTN tends to offers smaller gb packages, and compared with some of the other deals we found are not as good value for money, but they are cheaper.
The cheapest 30 day packed MTN offers is 260mb for N1000, which doesn’t compare with Gloworld or Airtel’s offerings.
Your best bet with MTN is to go for the 4.6gb offer, but with a steep price of N6,500, you’d be better off looking for other deals.
Etisalat
Finally, we come to Etislat, which offeres three simple plans for mobile data use.
You can get 3, 5 and 8gb packages for N4000, 6500 and 8000 per month respectively with no apparent restrictions on usage.
These are solid deals which are simple enough to understand, but they;re still edged out by other companies featured in this article.
Our Verdict
Given it’s large amount of data for N3000, Gloworld’s 6gb Always Macro plan is our clear winner as the best value for money for the Nigerian consumer. The runner-up is Airtel’s Blackberry tarriff, with 3gb for N1000 it’s a great deal for Blackberry users.
