Amit Mitra new head of GST panel

West Bengal finance minister Amit Mitra on Friday was named the new chairman of the empowered committee of state finance ministers (ECSFM) on Goods and Services Tax (GST). Mitra will be the second finance minister from West Bengal after Ashim Dasgupta to head this committee.
