Win tickets to SA v Aussies at Kingsmead
IOL and KFC are giving away two tickets each to five lucky readers to watch the KFC T20 International between South Africa and Australia at Kingsmead, March 4, 2016.
|||KFC and Cricket South Africa recently announced the extension of KFC’s sponsorship of the KFC T20 International series for a further four years. This announcement comes on the heels of Cricket South Africa’s announcement of the Proteas T20 squad which will be participating in the upcoming ICC T20 Cricket World Cup in India in March.
KFC has been the title sponsor of the KFC T20 Internationals since 2011 and the renewal sees the sponsorship continuing until 2020.
“KFC have become one of Cricket South Africa’s most valued partners through their sponsorship of KFC T20 Internationals, KFC Mini-Cricket and the Ram Slam T20 Challenge. We are already four years into our greatly successful T20 International journey with KFC and we look forward to continued success over the next four years,” said CSA Chief Executive Haroon Lorgat.
KFC, in furthering their commitment to developing cricket in South Africa, will continue to utilise their T20 International sponsorship as a platform to further profile KFC Mini-Cricket, South Africa’s largest sports grassroots sports development programme. In addition to introducing young boys and girls to the game, KFC Mini-Cricket is able to give kids in South Africa the chance to have fun, get active and to get closer to their sporting heroes through participation as ball boys and girls and in the guard of honour and coin toss at the KFC T20 Internationals.
KFC South Africa Chief Marketing Officer, Mike Middleton, who made the announcement at Newlands ahead of today’s first KFC T20 International between South Africa and England, commented, “KFC have been involved in T20 International cricket for four years now and it is with great excitement that we announce the continuation of our sponsorship for a further four years. Our sponsorship of the KFC T20 Internationals, together with the KFC Mini-Cricket programme, enables us to take cricket development in South Africa to the next level and to hopefully unearth the next generation of Proteas. Getting kids active and closer to their heroes are among the primary goals of the KFC Mini-Cricket programme and the KFC T20 Internationals greatly assist us in achieving these objectives.”
Five KFC T20 Internationals are scheduled for the summer of 2016, with the Proteas taking on England in a two match series, followed by Australia in a three match series, before departing for the ICC T20 World Cup in India.
In addition to KFC T20 Internationals, KFC will continue to support the KFC Mini-Cricket programme until 2025.
