Anisim Butswat, police public relations officer in the state, confirmed this, saying a statement would be released tomorrow.
He said: “I have heard about the report but I have not seen her personally.
“Information will be clearer tomorrow and we will issue a statement around 10am.”
The journalists were completely shutout from the meeting, as the police said the girl had been put through so much humiliation and should not be further exposed.
Before she left Abuja, the police said she had undergone some medical and psychological check-up, but the results were not made public.
Ese was reportedly kidnapped in August 2015 by one Yunusa Dahiru, also known as Yellow, and taken to Kano where she was also supposedly married off.
