The wife of the Senate president, Toyin Saraki has called on Nigerian women to take their place in the society.

She noted that for women to take their place in society, there is an urgent need for parents to educate their daughters.
“In all sectors, women continue to suffer gender inequality which hinders advancements. We all know that education and empowerment can guarantee the rights of women not just in Nigeria, but globally,” she said.
Speaking at the event, the wife of the Kebbi state governor, Zainab Bagudu stated that parity should not be limited to financial gains but also issues of sexual and reproductive health.
“Whenever opportune, we must work on the mindset of the typical Nigerian more so in northern part of the countrythat leads in gender disparity. It includes right to education, who to marry and when. I will say that the government should declare the International Women’s Day a public holiday.” she added.
