New striker for Super Eagles?

Ayeyawady United striker  Christopher Chizoba scored a super hat trick in their 4-2 AFC Cup victory against Lao Toyota.

The 24-year-old was in blistering form as he notched a brace for the Myanmar team against their Laotian opponents before completing the treble in the second half.

His first came on 22 minutes when he turned in front of his marker inside the Lao Toyota box before aiming a big shot into the roof of the net and then running away with arms spread wide in celebration leaving the opponents stunned.

There was more spectacle to come for the fans inside the Thuwanna YTC Stadium in Yangon when Chizoba took the ball from halfway in the Lao Toyota half and used a series of leg overs to confound his marker before shooting past the goalkeeper to his right.

Picking up from where he left off in the first half, Chizoba completed his hattrick in the 54th minute when he beat the goalkeeper from 15 yards after a well worked pass from a team mate.

Lao Toyota tried to claw back as Sitthidet Khanthavong scored a brace but Aung Kyaw Naing scored one to put the game beyond the visitors.

Largely unknown in Nigeria, Chizoba would hope his new found form can attract the right attention back home.
