Garment-makers want 2% excise duty scrapped

Ten days after jewellers in the state went on an indefinite strike over 1% excise duty imposed on jewellery by the Union Budget-2016, it is now garment manufacturers who are going on a one-day strike to protest against 2% excise duty imposed on branded readymade garments.
