Inviting infernos - design flaws big fire hazards

The fire at Rajhans Apartments on Gurukul Road on Wednesday morning was so severe that the victims, Niral Rajpal, 41, and his daughter Ariana, 5, couldn't cross 10 feet to the staircase as the inferno engulfed their residence on the building's second floor.
