Chuck Norris solves SA’s missing pot saga

Consumer show’s episode sparks a “film clip” where the mystery's solved, and elsewhere a heartfelt theme song is born.

When SABC's consumer show Speak Out followed the trail of the missing pots, they could not have anticipated the lasting reaction it would have.

In the show (episode 46 of season 8), which aired ast week, the team were investigating on behalf of women from a village in Limpopo who had ordered three-legged aluminium pots from a manufacturer through a woman knopwn as Tsireledzo Singo in 2012. They paid her R13 925 as a deposit towards an order for 48 pots and only received two complete pots and nine pots without lids.

The young woman in the video who sparked the online buzz is Tsireledzo’s daughter, who left them with more questions than answers.

When asked the whereabouts of the pots she said: “I made the things that it cannot make that pots to be done", after which the memes came in their numbers.

A week later, more memes are coming through, in addition to a song and a couple of edited clips, which have also surfaced under the theme ‘where are the pots?’

Abednègo Mosiatlhaga used an acapella app to compile a song for the occasion, perhaps in celebration as an edited video suggested that, with the assistance of Hilter and Chuck Norris the pots have finally been found.
