Recent articles on traffic congestion and increased road travel times in Sydney have one thing in common: they fail to mention high population growth as the fundamental cause ("Life in the fast lane," March 11). Federal immigration policy is the main contributor to this growth, a deliberate policy choice supported by the two main parties across the tiers of government.
