– The senators followed Saraki the Code of Conduct Tribunal for the continuation of his trial
Some senators on Friday, March 11, pledged solidarity to Senate President Bukola Saraki by following him to the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

Some of the senators who were present at the tribunal are Ike Ekweremadu, the deputy senate President, Sam Anyawu representing Imo east senatorial district, Hope Uzodinma representing Imo state, Dino Melaye representing Kogi west senatorial district.
Some others were Stella Oduah representing Anambra north senatorial district, Ben Murray Bruce representing Bayelsa east senatorial district among others.
This is not the first time senators accompanied Saraki to the CCT.
The first time was on September 22, 2015, he was accompanied to the tribunal by at least 50 senators on that day.

On that day, Saraki pleaded not guilty to 13 counts of false declaration of assets brought against him by the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).
On Wednesday, October 21, 2015 which was the second time, he was accompanied by at least 81 senators to the tribunal.
The apex court on Friday, February 5, dismissed the appeal to stop his trial paving the way for the continuation of the case at the CCT.
Earlier, the CCT had fixed Thursday, March 10 for trial, but moved it to Friday, March 11 at the instance of Kanu Agabi (SAN) Saraki’s new lawyer.
