Centre to conduct special audit of telecom firms

The government will conduct a special audit of telecom companies to check possible understating of accounts as indicated by the Comptroller and Auditor General. The report says Reliance Communications, Vodafone and Airtel understated their revenues, causing Rs 12,488 crore loss to the exchequer.
