Boma Iyaye, the commissioner for sports in Rivers state has pledged the sum of N1million to players and coaches of Rivers United football club, should they win Niger Tornadoes in week six of the Nigeria Professional Football League.

This was contained in a statement by Sammy Wejinya, the media officer of Rivers United, in Port Harcourt.

Iyaye’s statement also revealed that the team would receive N250, 000 for a draw in the game.
