Donald Trump said that Islam “hates” America.
US presidential election candidate Donald Trump has again lashed out at Muslims.
Speaking during the Republican debate on Thursday, March 11, Trump said that Islam “hates” America, Washington Times reports.
When asked if he meant that all 1.6 billion Muslims worldwide hate the United States, the presidential candidate replied: “I mean a lot of them. I mean a lot of them. There’s tremendous hatred, and I will stick with exactly what I said.”
Senator Marco Rubio of Florida criticized Trump, saying his comment has “a real impact” with Muslims worldwide and pointing out that Muslims serve in the American military.

“They love America. As far as I know, no one on this stage has served in uniform in the United States military,” he said.
However, Trump backed up his initial comment by saying: “Well we’ve had a lot of consequences including airplanes flying into the World Trade Center. I don’t want to be so politically correct. I like to solve problems. There is tremendous hate. Large portions [of the Muslim world] want to use very, very harsh means.”
Femi Fani-Kayode described Trump’s claim as false.
Meanwhile, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, the former minister of aviation, has reacted to Trump’s statement about Islam and Muslim people.
On Friday, March 11, he took to his official Twitter handle to express his opinion on the matter.
